Happy Monday and thanks so much for stopping by. I’ve been playing with the Botanical Gazette Designer Paper have created a “study in blue”. Check it out………
The only stamping on this card is the greeting label, the rest is pieces from this wonderful designer paper. I also brought out my stash of Confetti White cardstock that hasn’t seen a stamp in a very long time. It’s a great Neutral option and can be found on page 170 of the Idea Book and Catalogue, item number 102028.
The card base is a piece of 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Not Quite Navy scored at 4-1/4″. The mat of Confetti White is cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and is layered with designer paper cut to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″.
The scalloped piece of Confetti White was cut to 1-3/4″ x 5-1/8″ and layered with designer paper cut to 1-1/8″. I felt that it needed something else, so used a length of Night of Navy Taffeta ribbon as an accent and then attached the line of bees.
I inked up the butterfly image from Nature Walk with Not Quite Navy classic ink, stamped off on a piece of scrap paper and then again on the Confetti White cardstock. The greeting was added and then it was cut out with the Scallop Oval Punch and layered onto a piece cut with the Decorative Label Punch.
Here’s the recipe for a complete list of items used;

There you go, my “study in blue” on the official beginning of Spring! It reminds me of the colors that nature has us surrounded with right now – white snow and blue skies – LOL.
Thanks again for stopping by and feel free to use this sample to create a card of your own.
Take care, get stamping and we’ll talk again tomorrow.
Cheers;
