I’m pretty sure that I heard a robin yesterday although it could be wishful thinking. But, it did inspire me to make a card with a bird as the focus!
I used the colour challenge from Pals Paper Arts and the theme challenge from the Paper Players to help with the layout.
Did you know that you can use a combination of Stamping’ Write markers and Blendabilities to colour your picture? That’s exactly what I did here – Real Red marker for the flowers and Old Olive and Crumb Cake collections for the rest. The greeting was stamped with Soft Suede ink and I used markers to colour the little flower flourish on the greeting banner.
Now, you’ll notice that the greeting banner is longer than the second banner in the Banner Framelits collection, and here is how I did it.
Step 1: Stamp greeting and place banner framelit over top.
Step 2: Using a pencil draw inside the line. This will give guideline for framelit placement on cutting pad.
Step 3: Trim with trimmer
Step 4: Place one end inside cutting edge of framelit and the other on the outside.
Step 5: Run thought big shot and, voila, you have a longer banner for your project.
ENJOY!
