It’s Friday, it’s a great morning and it’s time to play with the Stamp-a-holics! Are you ready?
Today is a 10-min colour challenge provided by our Design Team Leader, Carole’Anne. It’s Poppy Parade and Early Espresso and I added Crumb Cake to the mix. I just received this great new clear-mount set, Countryside(120495) and really wanted to play with it. So here we go – the card base is Early Espresso and I used one of the Texturz plates, Distressed, and my Big Shot to emboss the Crumb Cake layer. It was then sponged with Crumb Cake classic ink to bring out the embossing. I also textured the smaller layer of Poppy Parade with the same Texturz plate. The truck image was stamped on Whisper White with Early Espresso classic ink and I used my Stampin’ write marker in Poppy Parade to colour the apples and a Crumb Cake marker to colour the baskets. The small apple image was coloured direct to stamp with Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake markers and cut out with my paper snips.
The greeting comes from the clear-mount set, Occasional Quotes(120142) and was adhered directly to the Poppy Parade layer. The little apple was applied with a Stampin’ Dimensional. A length of 5/8″ Early Espresso ribbon finishes things off.
Now, I have to tell the truth here, I went waaaaay over the 10-minute time limit and ended up at about 20 minutes to finish this card. I couldn’t decide on the layout so just kept moving the elements around until it felt right. I think it turned out well though and would make a great greeting for a guy or girl for any occasion. Well, that’s my story and I sticking to it! LOL
Here’s the recipe for you:
