Happy Labour Day Monday to you. I hope you’re enjoying the last long weekend of summer! Don’t you just love summer – the bright blues, greens and yellows it brings? I do love summer too and I also love the warmth and richness of the colors of Fall with its darker greens, yellows, rusts and browns. I think it’s nature’s way of prolonging the last warmth of summer before winter sets in.
In light of that, I’ve been doing a lot of creating with fall colors with help from the Spice Cake Designer paper that’s in the Holiday Mini Catalogue.
I tried out a new fold technique that I found on Wendy Weixler’s blog. This fold will be featured in one of my upcoming classes – so much fun!!!
Here it is closed……….
…..and opened.
I did some heat embossing on the large leaf and acorns on the front and colored them in with Reinkers and the Aqua Painter. The others are simply stamped.
