Good morning on a sunny Tuesday. Welcome to my blog. Today I am playing along with Stampin’ Royalty. Their challenge is to “create your own Designer Seried paper or background paper”. Sounds like fun doesn’t it?
I needed a sketch to help give me a jump start, so am using the Stamping 411 sketch #163 for this card.
I used the set, Tree Trimmings(116722) and “stamped off” to create the background. In this technique you ink up your stamp and then stamp the image first on a piece of scrap paper before stamping again on your image panel. This mutes the colour a bit. It’s an easy technique and can be used in many different ways.
I really like the sentiments found in Afterthoughts(120121) and put it to use on this card. I’m thinking that this would make a great invitation for a Christmas get together.
Here’s the recipe so you can give it a try yourself.
RECIPE:
Stamp Sets: Tree Trimmings, Afterthoughts
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Night of Navy Classic, Real Red Classic
Accessories: 5/7″ Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch, 1-3/8″ Circle Punch, Big Shot, Circles Die #2, Brights Brads
Thanks so much for visiting today. I appreciate your comments, so please let me know what you think.
Cheers;
