Good morning friends! It’s the first day of a new month and time for a new word for WORD Wednesday!
This month the word is……GIFTS……!
Today’s project is a center-step card made using a cute stamp set from the Holiday Mini catalogue, called “Gift Givers”.
This is a 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ square card that will easily fit into Stampin’ Up’s! Medium Square envelopes(107289).
I started with a card base of Cherry Cobbler and added Garden Green and bits of designer paper from Frostwood Lodge. The image from Gift Givers was stamped with Stazon Jet Black and then I did some paper piecing for the little girl’s coat and hat. Her scarf, hat trim and pom pom were colored with the Cherry Cobbler marker and her shoes with a Chocolate Chip marker. She needed some color in her cheeks, so the Blush Blossom marker did the job.
The snowflakes surrounding her were dazzled up with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
I ran a strip of Whisper White through the Snow Burst embossing folder to give a touch of snow to the bottom of the card.
“Four the Holidays” is a great all purpose set of greetings for Christmas cards and it just seemed appropriate for this card.
