Happy Monday to you and welcome. I’m starting the week off with a celebration – as a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, I get an early look at the New 2012-2013 catalogue today and am really excited to be able to see all the wonderful new products. I won’t be able to show you yet, but will be able to tell you about just some of the new items so make sure to come on back tomorrow for a preview.
I did some stamping yesterday though and created a celebration card using this week’s Create with Connie and Mary challenge as inspiration. Another part of the challenge is to use our favourite designer paper and I choose to use retiring “Just Add Cake” and added an optional banner.
Here it is.
The cupcake image from “Easy Events” was perfect for the ‘just add cake’ theme don’t you think?
I stamped it with Stazon Jet Black ink and then colored it in with Stampin’ Write Markers. The frosting needed a little glitter so I added a thin line of “Dazzling Details” on the swirls.(You will be able to see a close-up by clicking on the picture).
