Happy Monday to you! I’m still working on building up my December birthday card stash – how about you? My eldest daughter celebrates a milestone birthday on the 20th so I wanted her card to be special!
I decided to just go with that lovely flower and not add the “number” – lol. I think the butterfly is better anyway.
I used the Basic Gray Archival ink pad to stamp the flower outline so I could colour it in with Stampin’ Write Markers and a Blender Pen. TIP: If you use the regular Whisper White card stock, make sure to blend your colours with a very light touch so you won’t “feather” the paper.
I followed along with the Create with Connie and Mary colour challenge as well as the Freshly Made Sketches challenge for this card. I love a challenge don’t you? It gives a great starting point for your project!

Cynthia your card is a great take on both challenges! I love how you used our colours in a non-festive way. I especially like the horizontal detail across the top of your card and that wonderful butterfly. I’m sure your daughter will love it. Thanks for joining us over at Create With Connie and Mary this week!

How beautiful, Cynthia! Your card is so unexpected in a sea of Christmas cards, but the flower is beautiful done in these colors! The silver butterfly adds just the right amount of pizzaz and the background DSP is so fun! I love the touch of embossing with the crocheted lace ribbon too! Thanks for sharing your creation with us at Create with Connie and Mary!

Thanks Jenny, it all went together just the way I had envisioned.
