Good Morning Friends. Wow, it is the last few days of August, how time is flying by! Well, I took the time to play with the Pals Paper Arts sketch design this week.
I wasn’t sure which colours to use, so checked with Stampin’ Up’s very handy Color Coach to find my combo. You can see that there are two choices – a “Creative Combination” or a “Sweet Set” combination – so you have quite a few choices of colours. I decided to go with the “Creative Combination” for my card. So we have a card base of Soft Suede combined with So Saffron and Regal Rose accents. I haven’t played with Elements of Style for a while, so it became a part of this card as well.
I slipped the So Saffron panel into the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot( a hard working and very fine tool). This gave great texture to that piece. Embossing folders are a great way to add interest to your project without adding Designer Paper.The focal image of the flower spray was stamped on Very Vanilla with Regal Rose classic ink and matted onto a piece of Regal Rose cardstock. I used the 3/16″ Corner Rounder punch on both pieces before they were adhered together.
The sentiment piece was first stamped with the flower image using the “Stamping Off” technique before the sentiment was added. I stamped with bird and cut it out and placed it “just so” using Stampin’ Dimensionals to add a little depth. The Jewels Basic Rhinstones added the finishing touch.
