Yay, it’s WORD Wednesday and I’m playing with an oldie but a goody called “Lovely As A Tree” for the Letter “L”.
The featured WORD for this series is HELLO and this is the last letter “L”. So, here we go with a special technique as well.
I used some of the *NEW* Spice Cake Designer Series paper that is on page 17 of the Holiday Mini Catalogue and combined it with Soft Suede and Pool Party card stock.
That pretty little frame is from the Designer Frames Textured Embossing Folder and I used a sponge dauber and Pool Party classic ink to highlight it.
The leaf spray from “Lovely As A Tree” was stamped using the “Rock and Roll” technique. I first inked up the stamp with More Mustard classic ink and then “rolled” the edges of the stamp on the Old Olive classic ink pad as in the picture below.
I wanted the image to stand out so after stamping it onto Very Vanilla, added Versamark and Clear Emboss powder and heat set it. (The Stamp-a-ma-jig works beautifully for precise placement of the Versamark over-stamp).
Once the emboss powder was set, I cut it out and popped it up on the frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A length of 3/8″ Soft Suede Taffeta ribbon tied in a knot adds the finishing touch.
