Good Friday morning to you! Have you noticed that the days seem to be just flying by? Wow!
Well, spending time stamping is my favourite activity and today’s post shows my Design Team project for the Stamp-a-holics! Mitzi has challenged us all to use these colors on a 15 minute card.
I don’t use River Rock a lot so did a lot of thinking before I came up with this card.
I decided to go with a simple card using the Nature Walk set. Yes, this great set made it into the New Idea Book & Catalogue!
I started with a card base of Perfect Plum and added a single layer of River Rock. I stamped the birdcage image first using River Rock classic ink and then added the flower spray in Perfect Plum classic in. The bird image was stamped separately onto Very Vanilla using River Rock classic ink and then cut out to layer. I wanted him to stand out a bit, so used a Sponge Dauber and River Rock classic ink to darken the edges a bit.
I used the “Thank You Kindly” set for the greeting, cut it out with the Scallop Oval punch and layered it onto a Perfect Plum label.
I needed to add Baja Breeze, so added the ribbon layer as an accent. Finished in 12 min. 82 sec. Yay!
