PURPLE THISTLES

Hi there and welcome to Wednesday, or as it is sometimes know as – Hump Day.  I have a card full of purple thistles to show you.

This pretty design is from the carried-over Thoughtful Journey 6″x6″ designer series paper(163303) and I love the purple shade.  I used Petunia Pop as the base for those colours and popped the centrepiece up after cutting it out with the new Branching Out Dies.  The sprays of thistles are also from those new dies and I used Sponge Daubers to add Mossy Meadow ink and Petunia Pop ink to them.  TIP: it’s also a good idea to daub colour on the back of the die-cuts so there is no white showing.

The birthday sentiment is from the Simply Said Mix & Match stamp set(163756) and I used the label it sits on from the Mixed Labels Dies)164652).
