Good morning and welcome to Word Wednesday for the month of March! The word for this month is ‘SALE” and what an appropriate word it is! This is the last month of SALE-A-BRATION and you only have until March 31 to take advantage of the great FREE items.
Today’s letter is “S” and I am highlighting a really cute FREE set from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue called, “Sweet Summer”. This is a 2-step stamping set and you can build a pretty garden of flowers using all the different images in the set.
Here is today’s card…..
I used several of Stampin’ Up’s “In Colors” for this, starting with a card base of Poppy Parade. The next layer is Blushing Bride layered with a piece from the First Edition Specialty Designer Paper that is available in the Occasions Mini catalogue, page 25. I was drawn to it because of the picture of the butterfly and well, flowers and butterflies just go together!
The “garden” of flowers was created by coloring the stem and leaves with a Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Marker and then stamping onto Whisper White cardstock. The head of flowers was added in Blushing Bride Classic ink and those cute little butterflies were inked up with the Concord Crush Stampin’ Write Marker.
A greeting was needed so I “borrowed” it from the set, For Everything(page 62 Idea Book & Catalogue).
