Good Thursday morning to you all! The sun is shining but the air feels “crisp”. One can tell that Fall is definately on its way, so I decided to pull out “Autumn Splendor” for this card. I’m taking part in the “MONOCHROMATIC NEUTRALS” challenge at Stampin’ Royalty and decided to take my neutrals from the rusty-orange family. So we have Cajun Craze working together with Tangerine Tango and a sample from Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper(this is available Sept. 1 from the wonderful new Holiday Mini Catalogue).
I first stamped the leaves with Cajun Craze Classic Ink and then, using my handy Stamp-a-ma-jig, stamped over top with Versamark. My Stampin’ Pastels had been sitting on the shelf just waiting to come out to play, so this was it! I “thumped” Tangerino Tango and More Mustard over the leaves and gently wiped them with a paper towel. These were then cut out and arranged on the panel. The acorns were stamped with Early Espresso and then over-stamped again with Versamark. I wanted them to be a little shiney, so sprinkled then with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set them. I cut them out and secured them to the top of the leaves with a very nice Glimmer Basics Brad(also in the new Holiday Mini). The label for the greeting was cut from the Matchbox Big XL Die – cool shape isn’t it!

So there we have it – a welcome to fall up here in the northeast of BC. Yes, the leaves are starting to turn already and the hunters are arriving for the first moose hunt. Sigh.
OK, that’s it for today, leave me a comment won’t you, I love to hear what you think and don’t forget to come on back tomorrow for the Stampaholics 10-min. challenge.
Cheers;
