Soft skies and butterflies indeed – bring them on! Well the butterflies anyway, we do have lots and lots of blue sky up here, even in the winter! It helps to keep a person smiling through the -20 celcius and lower temperatures – LOL!
I still long for an early spring though – just take a look at this card and tell me if you think the weather fairies will get the message.
This card was inspired by one I saw in a recent issue of Cardmaker magazine. I loved the way the ampersand was highlighted so I pulled out the Perfect Pennants stamp set, a piece of Watercolor Wonder designer paper and got to work! I actually used the ampersand shape from Bigz Alphabet Typeset dies for the 3-D look and overstamped it with the ampersand stamp from Perfect Pennants to get the “you – me” greeting. Soft sky appears as the card base and I added the tulips from Blessed Easter(Occasions catalogue page 20). The tiny butterflies were punched out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch and I added an overlay of white vellum to them as well as scattering tiny pearls to finish things off.
