Welcome to the first Monday in March! I’m starting the week with something a little different from my usual with today’s card.
I haven’t used the Water Painters in a long time so decided to use them for this card! I started off with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock(101910), stamped those beauties from the Fragrant Flowers Bundle(160460) with Versamark, sprinkled some White Emboss Powder on them and heat set the whole thing. Then, out came the Reinkers in Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz! This technique is actually called Emboss Resist and is a lot of fun to do. It is best to do it on either Shimmery White or the Fluid 100 Watercolour paper and I find I like the Shimmer White best when heat embossing.
The card front needed a little love too(I didn’t like it “empty”) so I used Versamark to stamp those shadowy images. And, we must not forget another tool, the Blending brush, to add a little interest to the greeting tag. LOL, so a few techniques went into this card and I love the way it all came together.
These great colours that I used come from this new challenge at TGIF Challenges.
Here’s the product list.
