THE PEOPLE WE MEET THE PLACES WE GO

A good morning to you and a Happy Easter Monday. We had a great gathering of family over the weekend! Fun and good food made the day one of the best!

I did do some stamping though and was inspired by this week’s sketch from Create with Connie & Mary.

I needed an idea for colors so grabbed the Color Inspiration challenge from Stamping 411 as well.

So, I have the colors and decided to use a new stamp set from the Summer Mini catalogue called Travel Log. There are so many very cute images in this set and I used just about every one!

I started with a card base of Pacific Point(the name reminds me of the ocean) and added a layer of Crumb Cake. There is a really cute map in this stamp set and I stamped it twice along the side. The Square Lattice Embossing Folder added a little extra and helped to fill up the large empty space on the left.

The Postage Stamp Punch framed the “snap shot” squares just so. I stamped those squares with Tangerine Tango and Riding Hood Red classic ink and then cut them out with my paper snips.

The travel log medallion was stamped on Vellum cardstock and cut out to layer over the top.

I think this card has a very masculine feel to it and would be good to give to any guy. In any case, it was fun to create and I hope that you have enjoyed looking.
