Ha, I finally tried the distressing technique, got very inky but had lots of fun with it. Here is the result.
It turns out that you don’t need to have anything special, just Stampin’ Up! inks, a window sheet and a spritzer. I swiped the different coloured inks across the window sheet, spritzed it and then carefully pressed a piece of Shimmery White cardstock on top. Then partially heated it, spritzed it again and repeated the process. I used a small paint brush to spatter droplets of Pumpkin Pie ink to get the mottled look. The Leaflets framelits dies were used to cut out the leaves and the Best Birds bundle finished things off.
TIP: Make sure that you have lots of paper towel laid out on your work surface – it gets messy!
This card is my version of the sketch posted by Create with Connie and Mary. The leaves were placed strategically to mimic the circles on the sketch.
The Colours came from the Pals Paper Arts colour challenge for this week. The colours included are Old Olive, So Saffron and Dapper Denim.
Here’s everything that I used to create todays card.
Have an excellent Tuesday and Happy Stamping!
