It’s hard, but I’ve decided that autumn has to been my favourite time of year. It’s the colours of the season that say it for me…the rusty colours of the leaves touched with the muted yellow of the sun! The bringing in of the harvest. This is what I tried to portray in today’s card.
Cajun Craze is such a lovely, rich colour and that is why I started with it for the card base. The Painted Autumn designer paper has a couple of pages full of pumpkins so I cut one out to add to the bundle of leaves. This is all done to play along with the Stampin’ Up! Only(SUO) challenge and it did take 3 stamp sets to get it “right” but I’m very happy with the outcome.
The background was stamped using the Touches of Texture stamp set and I used the “stamping off” technique to get the muted tones of Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry. The leaves have a touch of Always Artichoke thrown in because some haven’t quite finished turning colour yet.
Here’s the full list of products that I used.
