Good morning. Have you noticed that the days are getting longer now? Yes, they are, a sure sign that spring is making it’s way to us! Only a couple of months and we will see flowers begin to bloom and the butterflies return to our gardens. So what better way to prepare than to make a card with butterflies.
With inspiration from the Stamping 411 sketch #190. There’s nothing like a great sketch to get the imagination working.
Since springtime is on my mind, I went for soft colors. The card base is one of Stampin’ Up’s great In Colors, Blushing Bride and it is accented with Old Olive and Very Vanilla.
The old olive piece was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder and the Big Shot. I gave the same treatment to the narrow piece of Very Vanilla and matted it with Blushing Bride.
The Scallop Trim Border Punch added the pretty edging to the Very Vanilla.
The images in the stamp set, Bliss, co-ordinate beautifully and add a softness to the focal image. I just love those little butterflies flitting across that image, don’t you?
The taffeta ribbon and bow were finished off with a Flower Brad. All in all a pretty card, I hope you like it too.

Just lovely! I really love your color combination. The eyelet border punch with the tone underneath makes that really pop. I really like the way you used the ribbon also! Wonderful job with the sketch.

I did notice the days are getting longer! I went to pick up my son at an after school event on Friday at 5 pm and it was still light out…when they had the same event in December it was dark at pick up time, hooray!! Speaking of Spring, love the Springtime look of your card, great colors and love the butterflies! Thanks for playing along with Stamping 411 this week 🙂
