Good morning on this lovely Thursday morning. The weather is fine and looking much more like spring.
I am playing along with Mary Jo’s Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 123. It is a great sketch and I chose to use Dreams du Jour(pg. 99 – 111624) and the sentiment from the new set, Watercolor Trio(120084CM) for this card.
I went bright on this one – Wow – really bright! These are two of the colours that will be staying with us for the new Color Renovation and I added Whisper White to the mix as well. The butterflies were stamped on Vellum in Stazon Black. I then turned the sheet over and, using my classic ink pad and a blender pen, applied colour. Is there such a thing as a Tempting Turquoise butterfly? Well, mine are and there you go!
The flowers on the main image were also watercoloured with a blender pen and ink pads. I also made good use of the Big Shot(113439) and Finial Press Embossing folder(115963) to give some texture to the card.
The sentiment was cut out with the Large Oval Punch(107305) and layered on the piece cut with the Designer Label punch(107590).
