Happy Monday to you and I hope you all had a great weekend! The weather was great up here in Fort St. John, not too hot – just about right. We can tell that fall is on it’s way though – the days are getting shorter and the evenings have that fall “nip” to the air. The hunters should be happy – LOL!
OK, on to my creation. I’m playing along with Stamping 411 this week and am also replenishing my birthday card stash.

This bright and cheery card was created using the “Just Add Cake” designer series paper. Appropriate name don’t you think?
I started with a card base of Baja Breeze card stock. The Just Add Cake piece was matted to Daffodil Delight.
I embossed the Baja Breeze strips with the Big Shot and Square Lattice Embossing Folder andf stamped, “it’s your day” from “Happiest Birthday Wishes, on the Daffodil Delight strip using Poppy Parade classic ink. The embossed strips seemed a little naked, so I added lengths of the 1/8” Daffodil Delight Taffeta ribbon to brighten them up.
The focal image was colored right on the stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers and then cut out with the Large Tag Punch. I matted this to a piece of Daffodil Delight cut with the Extra-Large Tag Punch, added a brad from the Subtles collection and popped it up on the card with Stampin’ Dimensional.
Just plain cute, if you ask me!
