IT’S THE DAY OF THE IRISH

Good morning and a Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you. There will be a lot of green worn around the world today. When I was “surfing” the net I found lots of interesting info regarding this celebration, including dying the Chicago River green! Wow!

As my family roots start in Ireland, it is only fitting that I create a card for this day using Mary Jo’s Technostamper Sketch #TSSC165

Here’s my card …………………….

I used Early Espresso, Certainly Celery and Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper along with the clear-mount stamp set, Nature Walk. There are so many gorgeous designs in Botanical Gazette to choose from – check it out in the Occasions Mini Catalogue.

I stamped the flower image with Certainly Celery Classic ink onto a piece of designer paper measuring 1-3/8″ X 5-1/8″. The mat piece is Certainly Celery cut at 1-1/2″ X 5-1/8″ with the bottom edge cut with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

Those little flowers(er, I mean shamrocks) were punched out with the flower image from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. They needed a little bit o’ gold, so I added a 3/16″ gold brad to each one and arranged them beside the greeting label.

The bird image was first stamped with Early Espresso Classic ink and then over-stamped with Versamark. I sprinkled some Clear Emboss powder over it and then set it using the Heat Tool. It was then cut out and adhered to the card with Mini Glue Dots.
