Happy Friday and welcome! Friday’s are the time to play along with the Stampaholics and today’s challenge is a card sketch provided by yours truly – I’m learning the ins and outs of My Digital Studio and came up with this simple card sketch.
We have 15 minutes to create a card – how did I do? 15 minutes and 32 seconds – over a bit, darn!
This cute image is from the clear-mount set called “Touch of Kindness” which you can find on page 25 of the Summer Mini catalogue. The images and sentiments appealed to me right from the start.
I first stamped the cat image onto Shimmery White card stock with Stazon Jet Black ink and then watercolored it using classic ink pads and a Blender pen. My cat, Riley, is an orange tabby so naturally this guy had to be too.
The scalloped circle image behind him comes from the same set and fits perfectly inside the Scallop Circle Punch!
I stamped the “hello” greeting 3 times and then cut each out with the Jewellery Tag punch and attached all 3 with a 3/16″ brad from the Neutrals collection. The bow is 1/2″ Baja Breeze Seam binding(such wonderful ribbon to work with!)and was attached with Mini Glue Dots.
