Good Monday Morning – I hope this finds you all well and fresh and ready for the week. I had a busy weekend spending time with my most favourite people of all, my Grandchildren. They are such a never-ending source of joy and happiness!
I did have some time to stamp though and played along with this week’s Stamping 411 Sketch #194.
Looks interesting doesn’t it? I recently received the Nature Walk Stamp set at the Vancouver, BC Regional and decided to use it for this card……
I really like the bird image in this set and did a little playing with it. The top 2 boxes started out as a 1-1/2″ x 3″ rectangle. I stamped the bird with Early Espresso Classic ink and then cut the rectangle in half. The left corner seemed a little bare so I added the top of the cage image from this stamp set.
The bottom left square was stamped with the bird image again. These were all matted with Not Quite Navy cardstock to match the card base.
Isn’t the designer paper pretty? It was matted on So Saffron and then I decided that we needed a Pop of color, so added the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.
It was finished off with a lovely sentiment from Occasional Quotes and a mat cut using the Holiday Windows die and the Movers & Shapers die. The Rosettes finished it off beautifully, if I do say so myself.
This great card is going off to a good friend who needs a little cheer right now.
