ONE FLOWER FOR ONE BIRTHDAY - Cynthia Stevenson, Stampin Up! Demonstrator

Hi and welcome. Today’s card features watercolouring – I haven’t done it for quite a long time so am pretty happy that I still remember how!!

I started with a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolour paper(149612) and then pulled out the Simply Beautiful Bundle(166965) so I could paint that lovely large flower. It took a few do overs but I’m happy with the way it turned out.

The flower was stamped onto the watercolour paper with Poppy Parade Ink and then I used a Water Painter(168253) to blend the colours into the middle. Using the ink pad to pick up extra ink helps to add a bit of darker contrast. The same was done with the leaves and then, when the images were completely dry(the Heat Tool helped here) I stamped over them with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I chose the Blueberry Bushel cardstock base to set it all on and am playing along with The Paper Players Clean and Simple challenge.

Beautiful, Cynthia! You have done an excellent job of water coloring this gorgeous blossom. It really “pops” against the Blueberry Bushel backdrop. Thank you so much for playing with The Paper Players this week!
