A big Friday Hello to you! The weekend awaits – what will you be doing? Stamping I hope!
Today’s card was created using the sketch #SC350 from Splitcoast Stampers……….
…….. and Color Challenge #63 from The Paper Players.
I just had to use this great new stamp set from the Holiday Mini called “Hand-Penned Holidays” it’s such beautiful script and will get quite a bit of use in my stamping studio.
Here is my card:
I used Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and substitued Very Vanilla for the Paper Players challenge and just couldn’t find a way to incorporate Basic Gray. But that is what a challenge is for – to give you a starting point for your project.
I did some “rocking and rolling” to color the tree – LOL. It’s a great, simple technique that works well when one wants to add just a slight touch of a darker color. Just ink up your image in a light color and “rock and roll” the edges of the image in a darker color for contrast.
I traced around the shape of the sentiment stamp lightly with a pencil and then was able to line up the sentiment perfectly with the Clear-mount stamp inside the outline. I cut it out, adhered it to the Rich Razzleberry mat and then cut that out to leave a small border around the sentiment. Easy and effective!
