Happy Friday to you and welcome! Christmas is the theme again for today and I have a tip for you as well.
I created this card using the “Pines & Poinsettias” stamp set that is on page 21 of the Holiday Mini catalogue.
I used the Sketch #94 Challenge from Stampin’ Royalty as my starting point and also pulled the colors from Create with Connie & Mary. I’m too late to play the color challenge, but liked the color combo of Cherry Cobbler, Real Red and Wild Wasabi.
I first inked up the poinsettias image with Wild Wasabi classic ink, stamped it and then cut it out with the 2-1/2″ Circle punch. The top image was stamped with Real Red classic ink, cut out and glued over top. Then I added some dabs of Dazzling Details(page 41, Holiday Mini) using a Blender Pen. This way I was able to place the sparkle exactly where I needed it to go.
Here’s a close-up picture of the tools I used.
The label was stamped with Real Red classic ink, cut out and attached using the tiny brads in the Vintage Trinkets package.
Is it against the “rules” to use two kinds of designer paper on one card? Well, I didn’t think so, hence the white bottom piece from the Frostwood Lodge package. I think it tones down the busyness and adds a touch of winter to the card.
