Autumn is here and moving on to winter soon but I wanted to create one last autumn card today.
I decided to keep it simple with just using Wild Wheat with touches of white and black.
That large maple leaf was cut with the dies from the Autumn Leaves Bundle(162186) twice. That is, I used the leaf vein die to cut out the shape on the leaf itself and layered it over the leaf vein. If you look really closely you can see it.
I didn’t want to keep it really plain so added a piece embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder(162189) and added a little colour with the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon(161982).
This whole card was also inspired by the new challenge from The Paper Players and a great big Thank You to the team for choosing this card as a winner last week.

I have absolutely not gotten on board with Wild Wheat as a color, but you’ve made it look so elegant with the die cut leaf and embossed background. Pretty!
Cynthia says
I had trouble with it too, but it is pretty after all. Thanks Christy.

This is beautiful! I love the simplicity of this but your embossing and diecut really give it lots of interest, as well as the GINGHAM ribbon–my favorite! Thanks for playing with our CAS challenge this week at the Players!
Cynthia says
Thank you LeAnne.

Hello, Cynthia. This is a beautiful CAS card! I love how you mirrored the black & white buffalo plaid of the truck in Joanne’s sketch. I’m glad you chose our challenge for your final beautiful fall card – it’s always nice to see you here at The Paper Players!
Xoxo, Fran

I love the simple tone-on-tone effect of your card Cynthia – I don’t have that set but have considered buying it for that sentiment alone! A beautiful fall-inspired card! Thanks for playing along with my CAS Challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
