Hello out there and welcome! I’m so glad you stopped by today because I have a pretty “thank you” card to show you.
I’ve used the Sketch #60 from The Paper Players as a starting point……………
….. and then went on to create this card.
You will notice that I didn’t follow the sketch exactly, but that is OK because a sketch is a great starting off point if you are looking for inspiration.
I’ve used a combination of “old” and new for this card. “Old” is the greeting from “Swirls & Curls Verses”, a Hostess set from the Stampin’ Up! Summer Mini catalogue. There are still a few days left to host a party and earn this pretty stamp set for yourself. Ask me how. The “new” is a great new package of Designer Series paper from the big catalogue called, “Pocketful of Posies”.
There was some cutting involved here which took a little extra time, but I like the end result. So I used one sheet of designer paper – one pattern for the background and the other to cut out those leaves/blossoms. The sketch shows an element of 3 and I think that those leaves have accomplished that. Then, of course there’s that pretty sentiment. I just love the script for this set!

I totally know what you mean about starting with a sketch and coming up with something a little off the intentioned idea. Nonetheless, this is FANTASTIC and lovely. Thanks for playing with The Paper Players this week.
