TECHNIQUE MONDAY

Hi and welcome to a whole new week.  I decided to start off the week with a Technique that I had fun with over the weekend.

I don’t play with techniques often enough because they give a great background for any card!  I started out with the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks(150697) and then carried through with the colour scheme for the birthday greeting.  The Blending Brushes are great for adding colour with using a mask.

The Happiest of Birthdays stamp set(152539) provided the greeting and I used Pacific Point and Coastal Cabana to give it a two-tone look to match the background.  Here’s a tip for you – if you want to get an interesting shape to your greeting, just trace lightly around the stamp with a pencil and then carefully stamp the greeting/image.  I used the Stamparatus for this to keep things in the “right” place.
