Good Morning and thank you for stopping by today. Has the weather been less than sunny where you live? It sure has been here. What happened to our nice, sunny and warm July weather?
Well, there is nothing that can be done – the weather will be what it is. However, I decided to add a hint of sunshine with this card.
It uses the very cute and happy stamp set, “Sunny Fun” from the Summer Mini Catalogue. Besides these cute kids, there are images of flip-flops and ice cream bars. Nothing can say sunny summer better than that!
The background designer paper piece is from “Beyond the Garden” and I felt that it gave a pretty good imitation of underwater plant life. The kids were colored with Stampin’ Write markers and I used the Scallop Edge Border punch to create the look of waves on both the Pacific Point and Bashful Blue card stock. It is difficult to see, but I ran the “waves” through the Big Shot using the Perfect Details Texturz Plates to add a bit of texture to the “water” and then sponged the Bashful Blue waves to highlight them.
I added “bubbles” by punching out those tiny circles with the Cupcake Builder punch.
