Happy Tuesday to you and thank you for visiting today. I’m back in my stamp room and playing along with 2 challenges!
Firstly, the sketch from Stamping 411….
…..and some color inspiration from The Paper Players!
Quite the color combination, isn’t it? It took some creative thinking to put them all together, but I think this card is what one would say, “grows on you” LOL!
Hmmmm, well, the more I look at it the more I do like it – so there you go.
The leaf image from the “Faith In Nature” hostess set was stamped with Cajun Craze classic ink, the sentiment from the same set was stamped with Bravo Burgandy classic ink and I found just the right piece of designer paper in the Paisley Petal package to mat them to.
I pulled out a background stamp called “Wonderfully Worn” and inked it up with More Mustard classic ink for the Very Vanilla background and then tucked it into the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot. It’s hard to see in the picture but it gives the background just the right amount of texture.
The ribbon is actually 3/8″ Whisper White Taffeta dyed with the Bravo Burgandy ink pad. Don’t you think that the color gives it a velvety look? I wear rubber gloves when dying ribbon and then wipe it off with a baby wipe. It also helps to blend the color more evenly.
RECIPE:

As I look at this card, I can see the possibility to make it a little more masculine by taking away the bow and just leaving the length of ribbon. I checked with my husband on that idea and he agreed. Thanks Hon!
Take care out there and don’t forget to “feed your soul” by taking a little time to stamp today.
Cheers;
